The Bomb Factory
The Bomb Factory in Dallas Deep Ellum is one of the Dallas Downtown most popular venues for music shows, concerts, and festivals covering an area of 48,000 square feet capable of holding up to 1,100 people and located at the heart of Dallas Downtown. To get on with a little history about the Bomb Factory, the site was an automobile assembly plant acquired by Henry Ford in 1914 until the 1930s. During World War II, the automobile plant moved towards producing practice bombs, ammunitions and jeeps to aid the country to win the war. The factory was closed in 1970 due to the economic recession. In 1993, the music venue was opened and was one of the most popular venues for musical shows and concerts till it was shut down in 1997. During that time many legendary artists such as Megadeth, Korn, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Tool, Slayer, and many more performed here.
Finally, on March 26, 2015, the Bomb Factory has reopened again and had a grand opening being sold out and the artist that headlined the show on that day was none other than Erykah Badu. After the opening in 2015, many more artists have performed at the Bomb Factory bringing it back to its former glory of being one of the best music venues in Dallas Downtown. The Bomb Factory is also famous for hosting boxing and MMA matches inside the venue
