Dallas City Hall
The City Hall of Dallas is one of the government landmarks in Dallas that is located near the center of Dallas Downtown in the intersection of Marilla St., S. Akard St. and Browder St. The current City Hall of Dallas building was completed in 1977 and has served as the City Hall building ever since. The Dallas City Hall building that we see now was designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei. The estimated size of the Dallas City Hall is over 1 million square feet, has over 374,000 square feet of office space that can be used, parking space available for 1426 cars included two levels of underground parking, a flag room, and a great court as well.
The first Dallas City Council was held on February 1, 1978, and the Dallas City Hall was officially opened on March 12, 1978. The city of Dallas is also a great tourist attraction and many people who visit the Dallas city Hall signup for their Dallas City Highlights tour which the City Hall is a part of.ย The Dallas City Hall also hosts several different festivals, fairs, meetings throughout the years. Dallas City Hall is one major landmark of the Dallas Downtown neighborhood that always has the interest of spectators.
Starting at Dallas City Hall located at 1500 Marilla St, Dallas, TX 75201 if you head south on Browder St. toward Canton St. and turn right on Canton St in 0.1 miles and again turn right on S Akard St in 0.2 miles then use the left lane to turn right onto Young St and turn left onto S Ervay St passing the Subway on the right and then turn right onto Commerce St in 450 feet and continue straight and stay on Commerce St and you’ll reach the Main Street Garden Park located at 1902 Main St, Dallas, TX 75201 in 450 feet.
