Before we move on to how to Install SSD on the iMac Retina 27 inch display Apple computer, let’s look at why we should install SSD on the Retina 27 inch iMac. The standard storage device for iMacs is the hard disk drives (HDDs) which are mechanical and have various moving parts. Hard disks have an average lifespan of 2-5 years since any physical damage or mechanical parts malfunction can make the hard drive useless. We would like to recommend the SSD to replace your hard drive because SSDs are electrical storage media and don’t have moving parts like the hard drive to be prone to hardware failure. Since SSDs are electrical devices, it is significantly faster than your hard drive and also consumes less power than your hard drive.
Ever feel like your iMac is performing slow? Are you way too familiar with the beach ball loading sign? Does your iMac take a long time to boot and access files? If so, your iMac could already have a failing hard drive.
Don’t worry follow these simple steps and replace your hard disk for a new faster and reliable SSD storage.
